No better way to spend my Monday then in THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART looking at Comme Des Garçon by REI KAWAKUBO with pieces dating back from the early 80's to now. Beautiful dominican girl by my side while i walked around this amazing architectural installation, the first feeling i felt was a reminder of the Comme Des Garçon store in chelsea then a feeling of Dover Street Market. Very beautiful womenswear with heads & hair created and styled by JULIEN D'YS. Here are some pics from my shitty ass camera phone of my favorite brand's art show at THE MET.

Today we celebrate the anniversary of the beginning of Hip hop. Hip Hop has come a long way up to this point and this year marks a new milestone in Hip Hop history: Hip Hop becomes Most Popular Genre in Music for the first time in the U.S history this year. So we dedicate this post to the man that allowed all of this to happen, today we honor the God of the Day, legendary DJ Kool Herc. This Bronx native is credited with originating Hip hop music in the early 1970s and although he didn’t move into commercially recorded hip hop we have him to thank for figures like Afrika Bambaataa and Grandmaster Flash. Hip hop is a subculture and art movement that once it was originated by DJ Kool Herc it was then further developed by African Americans & Puerto Ricans from the South Bronx, New York City. There’s a lot more to the hip hop culture that many people may not be aware of, it’s more than just Rap its also DJing, Breakdancing, and Graffiti.
The young and talented Goddess Liz Barclay is a photographer, director, and graphic artist. Back in 2008 she moved from Atlanta to New York creating an authentic and harmonious connection between her diverse interests in New York street scene. In order to operate at one’s highest frequency, one must commit themselves to their higher purpose of creative output. Stay genuine to yourself and true to your art and self expression.
Liz Barclay met up with Dice The God to photograph his new product with Johnny Nelson Jewelry The Star of David earrings. The photo shoot was fun and easy all while drinking some of Ludlow Coffee Supply’s tasty coffee. We then walked over to Ludlow Hotel to get a few shots in their luxurious lobby for an elegant vibe where Rami Malek, the star from Mr. Robot, so happens to casually walk in walking his dog. While exploring the next scene for photos we ran into Liz’s friend Hidji Films who is a visual creator for AGWE. Sat on the bench in front of Sweet Chick while drinking coffee and catching up. We finished up the photo shoot using New York’s natural charm and aesthetic from props to graffiti on the wall. The photos came out amazing; Liz is truly very talented and has an eye for it.
I STYLED MYSELF :)
The God, DJ Lantern will be performing a set at Bible Study. He comes from humble beginnings and due to hard work and persistence he has worked with some of the industry’s biggest power players. His creative signature brand mixtapes got him a job as Head DJ for Shady records with Enimem, where he then went off to help produce “Number One Spot” with Ludacris. DJ Green Lantern has made some classic mixtapes including , Invasion Best of Dipset with The Diplomats, Cocaine on Steroids with N.O.R.E, The Champ is Here with Jadakiss, & Shady Times with Enimem. Thats just to name a few of his accomplishments, this man has been a part of some of hip hops most impactful moments & It’s Bible Study’s pleasure to present DJ Green Lantern.
August 9th we celebrate the birthday of the one and only Dice The God, founder of The City of Gods and curator of the Bible Study party series. As the years roll on we learn to sit back and reflect on life’s blessings and how far you’ve come. Allow the space between where you’re at and where you want to be, inspire you. The next Bible Study is about to be a movie that you don’t wanna miss so stayed tuned. Cheers to more life!!!

Went to MoMA PS1 last night and performing was Venus X, Southside, Trouble, Nef The Pharaoh, OMB Peezy, Dave, DJ Diamond Kuts, and Denzel Curry. Everyone’s performance was impeccable but the young God Denzel Curry stole the show. He lit the place up then the beautiful Goddess Venus X flawlessly closed the event with one of the best dj sets of the year.
My brother Stalley dropped a new album, “New Wave”, available now on imusic, spotify, and tidal. “New Wave” is fuego with good raps over great beats and no features. Overall the album is a smooth easy listen, This Young God is making strides toward a legacy and I wish nothing but more blessings.
